6. Development, Evaluation, Optimization and Validation of the Phototoxicity protocols for the assessment of the phototoxicity of topical photo-toxins and implementation of the methods into the regulatory guidelines. Dr. Kandarova was responsible for generating EpiDerm phototoxicity data for topical phototoxins and retrospective analysis of all tissue models regarding their predictive ability and readiness to cover the photo-irritation endpoint. Based on the data produced with several reconstructed tissue models, the use of in vitro RHT was implemented into the ICH guideline S10 for the topical phototoxins.
